Ash whatnow?
Apparently, Catholics in New York really represent, cuz yesterday was an ashcrossstravaganza. And of course, it took me a dozen or so foreheads before I put two and two together. Two being the postcard I got from Kate about Carnivale, and the other two being the fact that I was raised Catholic.

Where on God's Green Earth did you get that picture from??? I found it quite amusing, being from the same Catholic family. I also had totally forgotten about the ash-on-the-forhead-Wednesday. Aren't we supposed to give something up now? Yeah, I figured I was suffering enough up here. God understands and I think he's rooting for me.
