From now on: all movies to be filmed in New York

At some point I developed the conceit of being disappointed when a movie I go to see has not been set in New York. I realized this the other night. Actually, the film was set in New York but filmed in Toronto. Even though they tried to stick to nondescript metropol, I knew right away that it wasn't the city. Kind of chaffed at me the whole time. In fact, watching movies that have been filmed in New York is sometimes uncanny. Not the vague street scenes in Soho or Midtown, but the inside of subway cars, or the ads on the street. Effing weird.
