Volna

I mean, roe and blinis and solyenka, in the enclosed patio, on the boardwalk, at Brighton Beach, with my Mom? Well that's about the best goddam Sunday I've ever had.

Hey hey! Still love reading this...wish I was there. Shoot me your Dad's e-mail address...computer issues still plague me and I don't have it written in my book. I have no idea why. I have to wish him a happy birthday tomorrow. If you talk to him before me tell him hi!

I was in Costco and I walked passed a number of people speaking Russian and I though Jeez, it's like being in....
Brighton Beach.

No, Kvass is the carbonated malt beverage - like black sweet beer with no alcohol. Yum.

Tonight Dad and I went to a Billy Joel concert and he oozes New York (no, not steam and sirens) and his band is all from Long Island and Brooklyn etc and he sang New York State of Mind, a song that has been around much longer than Billy Joel. "I got it" and it made me very melancholic for you.
