Here it is...
...my first blog, and a way of keeping track of all of my movements, as stipulated by my Department of Homeland Security-issued DS-2019 visa. I will try to post often, or certainly whenever I can, namely when I have managed to make it home to the dorm, fire up the laptop, and pour myself a glass of $4/bottle vinho verde. I love this city!

Just saying Hi Marianne,
So how are things going in the big apple? Things are starting to settle down around here after Dido's funeral. Margot, Laurie and I have had supper for a few past Sundays. All the talk was pretty much about dad as we shed a few tears remembering him. And it's going to be a little more difficult this Monday at being Thanksgiving. I'm NOT looking forward to Christmas, as that is when the reality of Dido being gone is REALLY going to hit home.
Well I should best be getting to bed, as I am going up to close down the cabin.
I hope all is well with you, and everything is working out the way you had wanted it to. Take special care, and I will keep in touch. Bye for now,
